Like all good pubs we take pride in keeping a good cellar and in the quality and selection of our drinks.
We're blessed with a multitude of local micro-breweries so we're spoilt for choice when it comes to real ales. We always keep at least one local real ale tapped in the bar.
We also have some bigger brand draught beers and ciders on tap, as well as a wide selection of bottles.
Our wine list is supplied by Frank Stainton in Cumbria, a small, established company that specialise in quality wines from all over the world.
We also have a wide selection of spirits, including several malt whiskies and specialist gins.
For non-alcohol drinkers, we offer a range of Fitzpatrick's cordials and various Fentiman's soft drinks and tonics. We also serve hot drinks including Fairtrade tea and freshly ground coffee.
Really, there is something for everyone!
For warm days we have an enclosed beer garden and for cold ones we have a cosy wood-burning stove.
Over the years we've hosted a number of events, including live music, charity auctions, a comedy hypnotist, quizzes and themed nights. We have a regular acoustic night on the second Sunday of every month where anyone can come, with or without and instrument, and enjoy live music in the bar.
